Our kindergarten program allows for freedom of movement while helping the child become accustomed to completing assigned tasks. Low student/teacher ratios allow each child to receive individualized attention as they work with concrete materials to explore concepts in language, math, geography, history, science, and art. Students also benefit from weekly enrichment lessons in music and Sign Language. Our nurturing environment provides a sense of community and allows children many opportunities to develop leadership, problem solving, and practical life skills that will prepare them for first grade and beyond.
I recommend parents check out Heritage Montessori if they're looking for an educational experience that is unmatched. Students can master skills before moving on and theer are options to do work (sitting at a table, sitting on a bean bag, sitting or laying on the floor, etc). There's a level of peace and respect in the classroom that I, myself, have never expereinced in public schools. There are cultural experiences throughout the school year. It brings my husband and I great satisfaction that our son is enrolled at [HMS]. It is a smart investment for us. Our son loves it and looks forward to school every day and sad when it's summer break. - Jessica David, 2018
